Ocean Theme

This is my completed ocean theme. I decided to create an ocean then place military boats and helicopters on the ocean. To me it looks like they are moving in on their target or going on a mission. I really like how it turned out.

Weekly Goal

This week I plan on finishing my ocean theme. I don't have much left so it should be easy.

For my next theme I chose the ocean theme. I decided to do like a military attack on the ocean. I have a little started and just need to add more and work with the lighting.

Old School

This is my completed "Old School" theme. This turned out really nice! I really like it and I hope people can see the old school look that I gave the home and away jerseys, using pin stripes, stirrups and high pants. I completed my goal.

Week Progress

This is my progress so far this week. I completed the "home" uniforms and now I'm started on the "away" uniforms. I think it is looking very cool and realistic so far. I plan on finishing next week.

Inspirational Images

 These are some rough ideas on what I want my uniform to look like. It will be a basic plain uniform like the old days with "Post 2" on the jersey and the oil barrack on the hat. The uniform will have high pants with stirrups as socks. I hope this turns out the way I image it turning out.

Theme Proposal

I chose the theme old school and decided to create an old school baseball uniform. I'm going to baseball the team off of our legion team the Casper Oilers. However I'm going to use Post 2 as the design on the jersey and an oiler barrack as the logo on the hat.

Weekly Goal

This week I plan on started and creating a new theme out of the 100 theme challenge. I've already completed 3 and hope to finish another one by friday.

What if..

For my third theme I chose the "What If.." theme. I created an alien head and said "What if.. Aliens were real?!" I think this turned out very cool. It looks pretty realistic.

For my 3rd theme I chose the "what if.." theme. I'm going to transform Tom Cruise's head into an alien head and have " What if.. Aliens were real."

Rainbow Theme

This is my completed Rainbow Theme. I really like how it turned out and I think its one of the better projects I've completed. Thanks to some photoshop tutorials I was able to make the rainbow look real. I also added geese in the back and a river monster to give the image a more realistic feel.

This two images have inspired to create a background with clouds and grass with a rainbow shining through the middle.

Proposal

For my second theme I think I'm going to do a rainbow. Right now I'm messing around in photoshop to see what I could do. I have a good background so far now just have to do the rainbow.

67% Theme

This is my 67% theme finished. It didn't take me long however I like the way it turned out. This theme was hard to think of what to do but I think this works perfect.

This week I plan on completing the Iphone using the tutorial.

Proposal

For the theme assignment I want to use the "67%" theme. I plan on created an Iphone using a photoshop tutorial then making the background image of the phone charging at 67%. This should be fairly simple.

67% Theme

For my theme project I chose the "67%" theme. I am going to create an I Phone using a tutorial on the internet then creating a charging scene. I will make the charge be at 67%.

Well this week I finally figured out the whole rendering process. It was very complicated but now that I have it going I just need to wait for it to be done. I hope it is turning out great.

This week I am going to try to finish my project! I am ahead of schedule and all I need to do is finish the motion camera and add the final few touches. I already have added light and rendered so I am hoping to be done this week.

Reflection

This week I was able to finish modeling and also added a light which represents the sun. My project will have shadows and I started working on a camera path. This is turning out really good and Im excited to see how it turns out in the end.

This week I succeed my goal. I have added a fence, trees and grass to my scene as well as making it look more and more realistic. On my breakdown I am way ahead of schedule. I have some finishing touches to do and I think i'm close to the end.

I think I met my goal this week. I feel like I got a lot accomplished and I like the way everything is turning out.

This week I was able to accomplish a lot! I put in stadium lights, finished my football field and created a snack shack. I really like how this is turning out. I have a good feelings its going to be really cool when its done.

This week I was able to finish the net of my basketball hoop and also created my football field. I think it is all coming together very well and I like it. I just started the lights for my baseball field. I have a snack shack and also parking to still make.

January: My goal is to have my sketch done and to be starting to create models for my project.

February: My goal is to have all my models complete.

March: My goal is to add color to all my models and have my complex assembled.

April: My goal is to have my project completely done by the beginning of April so I just have to render and add light to complete it.

Proposal

By April 6^th, 2012 I plan on completing a sports complex with multiple sports fields. I have selected different images to use as guidelines on how I want to create my fields. I want to have the main attraction of a big baseball stadium and big football stadium in the middle with a soccer field, basketball court and another little baseball field off to the sides. I am going to do my best to make this look realistic. I am mostly going to focus on 3D modeling.

Art Analysis

a. This work is called “sports facility” and the creator is ArchiVisionStudio.com.

b. This artwork had a few baseball fields with a main stadium right in the middle of the complex. You can see a football or soccer field towards the back of the complex. You can also see buildings in the background and trees along the outside to make it look realistic.

c. This photo uses all of these elements very well. You can see lines everywhere; the trees portray a line and the lines on each of the fields. The shapes pop right out at you because of the use of 3D. You are able to identify the shapes easily. There isn’t a lot of color but enough to keep your eye focused. The artist uses great texture to make the trees look real and make the builders around actually look like they should be there. The value of this image is very high, there is a lot to look at and it looks very realistic. Light is used great! You have a dark to bright light, where the picture starts dark but gets lighter as the photo goes on. Almost like the sun is hitting it from the one direction, once again looking real.

d. The meaning of this work was to try and make it look as real as possible so the person who wants to see what this would look like can have that picture that looks real.

e. The mood is very calm, it is just a still picture in which you can look at and see if you want this to be built.

f. In my opinion I think this work is very good. I like it a lot and the first time I saw it I wanted to create a piece like it.

g. I want to create a complex similar to this but not the same. I will use this work as something to go off for my whole project.

Inspirational Images

These are my five inspirational images. I want to make a sports complex so multiple types of stadiums is needed. I plan on having a baseball, football, and soccer field in my complex. The two baseball fields were created by Stefano Tartarotti, the football one by trainfografia, the soccer one by ArchiVisionStudio.com, and the sports complex by ArchiVisionStudio.com.

Rough Idea

I’m thinking that I would like to create a sports complex. I want to use a few baseball fields, soccer field and a football field to make this look real. I plan on using different professional stadiums to model mine off of and make look the best. I will most likely use photoshop, maya and mud-box to complete this task.
